You arrive at the ballpark, hoping for that moment. You know the one….that brings you to your feet with great anticipation after the crack. As the ball rises from the bat of your favorite player, so do you, hoping that it leaves the park. With eyeballs rolling up and head turning in direction of the ball, euphoria starts to sink in when it’s no longer visible. You jump up and down, screaming and shouting, as if it was your kid who caused the jubilant frenzy.

Turn Two Excerpt:
He wagged his bat over his shoulder, in anticipation of the pitcher’s final assault. With the eye of a tiger, Terrence tracked the wicked curve ball all the way to the sweet spot of his Louisville Slugger. The pop upon contact reverberated around the stadium. After liftoff, the ball seemed to shift into overdrive mid-field before fading into the park lights and landing in row M of the bleachers. “He ripped the leather off of the ball!” exclaimed the announcer. “A home run!”
Tina Denise was born and raised in Southern California. She is married and has two wonderful children, a son who is a professional athlete and an academically talented daughter. She has enjoyed a long career in commercial real estate and is an avid sports enthusiast, both which serve as the backdrop for her debut novel.
