The pre-game events were entertaining, leading up to the surprise
appearance of a superstar. The stadium erupted in cheers as he took
center stage in high-heel boots, guitar strapped over his purple
jacket and delivered a rockin’ soulful rendition of the Star Spangled
Banner. It was an all-out Hollywood-style production. Los Angeles
had not seen that much excitement since the Lakers brought home
Rondell made a concerted effort to follow the road of information, but the gentle tuck of her shoulder-length hair behind the ear caused him to veer off-track, several times.
As she walked to the dry erase board to illustrate the market’s
occupancy rise, so did Rondell’s testosterone. His eyes were drawn to
her perfect round butt, accentuated by a clinging skirt with pleats
around the hemline. Yet, he resisted his attraction to this woman.
She was nearly ten years his junior, his employee, and he knew her
fiancé. Still, her almond shaped light brown eyes mesmerized him
to what he feared would be the point of no return.
What if the tables were turned – what if D’Angelo leaked a video in which Iggy confessed to cheating on Nick? I would bet that the main topic of discussion would not be D’Angelo…it would be Iggy’s promiscuity. There would be no compassion for her, as there is for Nick. Which brings me to the following excerpt from Turn Two:
. . . he tried to rationalize what she had done, but his anger couldn’t permit it. In the far corners of his heart he convinced himself that he had never cheated, but she did.
